Thursday 19th January 2012 – Friday 20th January 2012
Trading for Sustainability will bring together artists, creative practitioners, and leaders of social enterprises, charities, community and voluntary sector organisations, with the primary aim of helping them to develop trading as an alternative method of generating income and as a tool for growth. In addition, the action-led learning is designed to provide a better understanding of the current economic opportunities available, as well as a practical introduction to business development strategies and marketing techniques.
The Arts Council is providing a limited number of part bursaries for participants on this course and we expect 50% of the participants to come from an arts background. We believe however that the journey is the same for any organisation wishing to transition away from a grants and subsidy business model. Your contribution would be invaluable to provide a context and background for business and strategic planning for these entrepreneurs and organisations.
The dates are:
Study Block 1) 19th/20th January
Study Block 2) 16th/ 17th February
Study Block 3) 15th/ 16th March
