Summary of programme content

 

We are all now aware of how important it is for each of us to minimize are carbon footprint and increasingly, our green credentials are considered by potential customers and clients before they buy from us.  This short, informative workshop will enable you to pick up a vast array of useful information that will help you to consider how you can become more energy efficient, make important cost savings and become more aware of the latest renewable energy technologies.  You can also find out about the grants and incentives that are available to small businesses.  If you attend the workshop and complete the follow up work, you will also be able to apply for the WDB Green Business Kitemark, which you can use on your website to demonstrate your commitment to the environment.   

Intended Programme Outcomes

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Learned a range of easy energy efficiency measures for your business
  • Gained an overview of renewal energy technologies
  • Found out about the latest incentives for renewable energy generations
  • Received information on grants and loans available to business
  • Heard how you can start preparing your own business environmental policy

Who should attend:

Women who are running their own business or are thinking of starting up.

Delegates are asked to undertake a review of any current environment policies & practices in their business and to prepare and submit (to gail@devonrcc.org.uk) any specific questions that you would like to be answered prior to workshop
